When you still wear the Real Madrid shirt as a 39-year-old, then you have become an institution in the club. Not too many years ago, Sergio Ramos was not offered an extension at the age of 34. Luca Modric has been linked to MLS and the “Ronaldo League” for the past year, at the same time there have been signals that the Croatian wants to continue at Real Madrid.
This season, the 39-year-old has made an impressive 55 appearances on the pitch. Almost 2800 minutes of playing time, but criticism has been levelled at the icon in the season without titles, with the playmaker being urged to leave Real this summer, still with his head held high.

According to COPE, the player, who has won everything with Los Blancos, has not received an offer with an extension from Real Madrid. The Spanish media claims that Modric is thus playing in the Club World Cup, then an absolutely fantastic career at Real Madrid is over.
