Most has been said about how catastrophically bad Manchester United have been this season, Ruben Amorim has been in charge since November. After the weak final against Tottenham, there have been a lot of reactions from supporters, United players – and the couch experts. Can this really continue?

Manchester United supporters threw themselves over the keyboard and demanded Armorim be fired, while the players (with the exception of Alejandro Garnacho), circled around the coach. Sky Sports claims through all the noise that the decision has been made.

Ruben Amorim stated after the Europa League final loss that he would leave the club on the day if he did not have confidence. The English media claims the trust is still there. The United management still sees Amorim as the long-term solution where the club will build the foundation for greatness. There is an acceptance that the current season does not change this, it is reported.

According to the English media, the United manager has the full support of the management. No other manager since Alex Ferguson has kept his job after delivering as weakly as Ruben Amorim. Perhaps this should be interpreted as a positive sign?
