It was surprising this winter when Ronaldo Araujo, who was defined as “untouchable” at Barcelona after playing for the club since 2018, was millimetres away from a loan deal to Juventus.
Now the clubs are starting talks again. – And this time too, the talks are going very well. It is reported that a transfer is as good as decided.

A Ronald Araújo transfer to Juventus is a “big deal” – all the rumours, negotiations and expressions of power in all bills say that it will be one of the big ones this summer.
The Uruguayan centre-back is about to end his time as a Barça player and start a new adventure in Serie A.
The 2024/25 season has been particularly difficult for Araújo. The arrival of Hansi Flick on the bench and the resurgence of Pau Cubarsí have relegated him to a secondary role, losing the undisputed status he had in previous seasons. Despite recently renewing his contract until 2031, the German manager’s lack of playing time and confidence have been crucial in the defender’s search for a new destination.
Imminent deal
Juventus have been the club that has supported the Uruguayan the most. The old lady, who needs reinforcements in the defense due to the injuries to Bremer and Danilo, has expedited negotiations and has practically finalized an agreement with the player and Barça, who want to ease salary expenses and ensure a significant sale. The transfer is expected to be around €50 million in fixed price plus variable amounts, a figure the Catalan club considers appropriate for a player who arrived in 2019 for just €4.5 million.
He is currently injured and probably won’t play for Barcelona again.
