Mo Salah has continued to do what he does best: stand behind goal scoring in a Liverpool shirt. Few other players in the Premier League have the same flair, skills and execution power as the Egyptian international to stand behind the penultimate touch, or hammer the ball into the net himself. The last two years have nevertheless been chaotic. Salah has had half his body out of Liverpool for several rounds, rumours have been pounding in every single month that Liverpool’s superstar is exiting. Now the 32-year-old himself says how close he was before an extension with Liverpool in April.
“If I hadn’t extended my contract with Liverpool, there was a very good chance I would have played in the Saudi Arabian league. I am still in contact with them (the representatives) and have a good relationship with them,” Salah begins to On Sport.
