“It’s not between Mourinho and me, it’s between Fenerbahce and Besiktas”. This was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comment on the feud between the two coaches. We all heard what the “Eagle of the North” said, but got confirmation after Besiktas beat Fenerbahce in front of Mourinho’s home supporters that this is a lot about the two coach profiles. We thought it was coming to an end, but now there are strong signals that Solskjaer will have more games against Mourinho.
After the loss to Solskjaer, Mourinho lashed out at everyone and everything, and went to great lengths to accuse the Süper Lig and the referees of preventing him from winning the league. This comes after Mourinho had taken a firm grip on the Galatasaray coach’s nose after the game.

Those who have followed Mourinho through the latter part of his career will recognize the pattern. The more the frustration level rises for the Portuguese, the closer he gets to exiting the club. Now Mourinho is answering questions about rumours of an exit.
“If you ask me if I’m going to be here next season, I’m referring to the last [Fenerbahce] president’s appearance on TV a couple of weeks ago, where the president said that he wants me to stay and that he expects me to stay next season,” Mourinho told Turkish media.
And make sure that everyone understands what is being said.
“It’s public. That’s it. I think he was clear. If anything changes from that day, I have not been notified. I can confirm that these words were exactly the same words that I was told then,” Mourinho said.

Okay, then it looks like neither Mourinho nor the Fenerbahce management are pushing for change on the coaching front. This means that the stage is set for more Solskjaer and Mourinho shows next season. We can hardly wait.
