Not too many summers ago, Christian Eriksen, with a heart that wasn’t pumping, was lying on the grass in the European Championship playoffs. The return to life, then the Premier League and Brentford, then Manchester United and the Danish national team, has been an absolutely fantastic story to follow. The big question now is what the Dane with the pacemaker does next, after thanking United supporters last month. In Wales, the playmaker is on the list of “impossible signings”.

Because at Wrexham, manager Phil Parkinson has a gigantic task ahead of him now that Wrexham are ready for the Championship after three promotions in a row. It will be tough to get a fourth promotion in a row, with clubs like Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester determined to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible.

Wrexham are reportedly interested in signing a Manchester United player, and that would be a big statement from the Welsh club. – The club has already announced its “released/retained list” for next season, with eight players leaving, including former Premier League striker Steven Fletcher.

Wrexham have since been linked with several experienced Premier League players, including West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell, Spurs defender Ben Davies, and Fulham midfielder and captain Tom Cairney.

But they could soon be about to bring an even bigger star to the Racecourse Ground.

According to Tim from the Fearless in Devotion podcast,
“Parky [Phil Parkinson] is interested in signing Christian Eriksen.”
“He fits the profile we are looking for – a player with a certain age and a lot of experience. And he has just that.”
“We’re in a strange position where it’s almost impossible to dismiss any of these ideas as utter madness, because this is Wrexham – anything is possible. I still don’t believe in it, because there are limits to how many players with sky-high salaries we can have.”

Then we will see if Eriksen is convinced until 1. Stay in England. 2. Take a sharp, sharp pay cut. 3 Relegated to the second division for the first time in his career.
