On Tuesday, we wrote about Manchester United’s two signings that will solve the horrendously inefficient attacking play. One of these is Bryan Mbeumo, the winger who is behind 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 games in a Brentford shirt. According to The Times, the Cameroonian international has reportedly opted out of Arsenal and Newcastle, he wants to join Manchester United. This comes anything but free for the Red Devils.

One is the transfer fee that could reach up to £60 million, but according to the English newspaper, the 25-year-old is demanding an annual salary in the top tier when he now chooses Destination Old Trafford.

At Brentford, Mbeumo earns £50,000 in weekly wages, an insane amount for us mortals, but according to the Times, the sought-after winger has given his demand to United to fork out £250,000 in weekly wages for his signing.

This probably doesn’t bode well for the “savings boss” Ratcliffe and the United gang, who this season are also completely without income from games in Europe. Still, if United are aiming for the most sought-after players, it is not enough that “the honour of wearing the United shirt should be enough”.
