This has made Newcastle take notice of him, and coach Eddie Howe is said to be an admirer.

The newspaper claims that “The Magpies” have sent an enquiry to Nottingham Forest and are “pushing” to secure the winger.
Discussions are said to be in the preliminary stage, but if a sufficiently good offer comes, it is not expected that Nottingham Forest will stand in the way if the Swede wants a change of club. The Daily Mail claims that Newcastle tried to sign Elanga on the last day of the transfer window last summer, but the initial bid of £35 million (around £455 million) was reportedly too low. The current price tag is speculated to be up to £50 million.
Elanga joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester United in 2023, and he has a contract that runs until 2028.
Newcastle finished fifth in the Premier League, while Nottingham Forest finished seventh.
