The transfer saga for Florian Wirtz is not over and it will certainly not be completely over with this either, even if Liverpool now improve their record bid.

The Times now writes that Liverpool have adjusted their latest bid for Florian Wirtz. Bayer Leverkusen is presented with an offer of €120 million plus €10 million in potential bonuses.

The Times writes that negotiations between the clubs are continuing, and that there is good hope from both sides of reaching an agreement.

In the past, Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly demanded around €150 million to sell their attacking star. Liverpool’s revised bid – which if accepted would make Wirtz their most expensive signing ever – doesn’t quite measure up to this, but the clubs may be closing in on a compromise. According to The Athletic, the Anfield club have no intention of going as high as €150 million.

The 22-year-old Wirtz has opted out of both Bayern Munich and Manchester City in favor of “The Reds”. The German and Liverpool have already agreed on the terms of the personal contract.
