Manchester United have given a clear hint of two upcoming transfers by removing two attacking players from the list of names to be printed on their shirts for the 2025/26 season.

After the club’s worst ever Premier League season in 2024/25, manager Ruben Amorim faces a critical summer in what will be his first full season with both new signings and players on their way out.

The Portuguese has already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5 million, and United are not giving up hope of signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford – despite competition from Tottenham Hotspur. In addition, a gigantic bid is said to have been sent in the direction of Barcelona.

A possible arrival of Mbeumo will likely be followed by at least two attacking players leaving the club. Now it seems that two unpopular wingers are definitely on their way out.

Antony and Sancho removed from shirt printing list
Neither Antony nor Jadon Sancho are any longer on the list of names that can be printed on United’s new home shirts, underlining that both players are expected to leave the club permanently this summer.

Antony revived his career at Spanish side Real Betis in the latter part of last season, with nine goals and five assists, as well as a second-place finish in the Conference League.

Betis want to keep him permanently, but financial challenges could be an obstacle. It is therefore rumored that they are considering an unusual co-ownership arrangement in order to reach an agreement.

Sancho, on the other hand, is at a crossroads after Chelsea paid £5 million to escape a £25 million commitment for him at the end of the season.

The former Borussia Dortmund star delivered five goals and ten assists in 41 appearances for Chelsea, including scoring in the Conference League final against Betis. Still, he was unable to convince manager Enzo Maresca and the club leaders that he deserved a permanent place. – It was his unwillingness to take a pay cut that ultimately made it impossible for the London club to complete the transfer.

Jadon Sancho decided never to play for Manchester United again, and the club will probably have to accept a lower amount to detach from him in the next few weeks. Sancho is also refusing to pay a whopping £250,000-a-week salary, which means Manchester United could end up subsidising a new loan deal.

Which players can leave United alongside Antony and Sancho?
Although their careers at United already seemed to be over, the removal from the shirt pressure list confirms that neither Antony nor Sancho have a future at the club.

But the two are hardly the only wingers to disappear. It is claimed that United are also working on selling Alejandro Garnacho before the new season starts.

The Argentine international reportedly wants to stay in the Premier League, but his £70 million price tag could scare away interested clubs, including Chelsea.

At the same time, Inter Milan are reportedly in the process of making a bid for goal-scoring striker Rasmus Hojlund. Amorim, on the other hand, plans to keep Joshua Zirkzee for the upcoming season.
