It was a tough experience for Leo Østigård not to be the first choice when Norway drove over Italy at Ullevaal, but that’s football. It is not only in the national team that the centre-back has had to stand behind in the playing time queue, at Rennes the Norwegian has been sent to the exit door after a loan to Hoffenheim. Two clubs are quick to sign the 25-year-old.
L’Equipé reports that the Rennes management has decided to sell Østigård. Hoffenheim had a purchase option in the lease, but has not chosen to exercise this. According to the French newspaper, Fiorentina and Pisa are in the process of signing the former Napoli player.

Fiorentina have David de Gea in goal, this season the club secured 6th place in Serie A and the Conference League ticket. Østigård showed in the Napoli shirt that he thrives in the Italian league, sounds like Fiorentina could be an interesting next destination.
