Arsenal are said to be looking to sign a new goalscorer this summer, and there have long been consistent reports that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting’s Viktor Gyökeres are the hottest candidates.

The Swedish goal machine is not happy with his club Sporting who have set a very high price tag, a price tag that Viktor Gyökeres believes he is promised will be smaller. There are at least 5 clubs that have wanted his signature, after several rounds of themselves wanting a transfer to Arsenal.

On Wednesday morning, the German newspaper Bild came with new information that Arsenal have reached an agreement with Sesko. However, it is claimed that the London-based club has not yet sent an official offer to the German club, but that they believe a deal is close.

A bid is expected to come in the next few days, and it is reportedly in line with what Leipzig are demanding for the striker. Leipzig are currently asking for between 80 and 100 million euros for a transfer.

This is therefore bad news for Gyökeres, given the alleged deal with Sesko. If Arsenal secure Sesko, it will be unlikely that the Swede will end up at the Emirates Stadium.
