The rebuilding of the midfield is still not complete. Although the investments in Jude Bellingham, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga aimed to ensure a generational change, the results have not been as convincing as expected. While Bellingham shines close to the opponent’s box, the French duo have failed to replicate the authority that Kroos and Modrić had when dictating the pace of the game.
