Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has admitted that he would love to play alongside Barcelona’s great talent Lamine Yamal.
The England international is still in transfer limbo after Aston Villa chose not to make use of the purchase clause after his six-month loan spell at Villa Park. The Birmingham club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League made a deal financially impossible.

Manchester United: €35 million signing nears as two players are on their way out
Rashford is completely out of the picture at Manchester United after he failed to convince Ruben Amorim with his performances in training before his move to Villa, and the Portuguese is not expected to give him another chance.
The homegrown United player is on the hunt for a new club, and according to reports, he is desperate for a move to Barcelona after already wanting to join them in January. At the time, a deal was impossible due to Ansu Fati’s reluctance to leave Catalonia.
Also this summer, there is a big hurdle to overcome: Rashford is simply not a priority for the Spanish champions. The Blaugrana originally wanted to sign Luis Díaz from Liverpool, but have now turned their attention to Nico Williams after he made it clear that he wants to join them.
Rashford wants to play with Yamal
Rashford is currently staying fit in Marbella, where he was recently visited by Spanish YouTube channel xBuyer. Given his alleged interest in Barcelona and his recent social media comments under Lamine Yamal’s post, Rashford was asked about the 17-year-old star.
“Of course, everyone in the world wants to play with the best,” Rashford replied when asked if he would like to play alongside Yamal, before adding: “Hope we get to see that.”
“It’s hard to put into words what he’s doing, because you shouldn’t be able to do things like that at his age. He plays at the highest level as a 16-year-old. This alone is a skill – to have this mentality. It’s not normal to be able to do what he does.”
Rashford also confirmed that he thrives in Spain: “Spain is nice, not too far from home. If I train here for a longer period of time, it’s good because my family can visit me for a few days – it’s only a three-hour flight. The weather is glorious here.”
