It only took five minutes before Ole Didrik Blomberg in front of old Brann fans over at Aspmyra put in a gem of a goal and in a rush of joy took a spontaneous somersault. (It also happens to me quite often)
Bodø/Glimt were the best and could with a little more “stick in” win with larger numbers than 3 – 0.
It is only a matter of time before Bodø/Glimt take over the top of the table in the Eliteserien again. – With three games less played, a league leader Viking and 10 points behind, Norway’s best team will only continue to be devastatingly good. There were several layers of drama in Saturday’s game, Ole Didrik Blomberg was brilliant against former teammates and delivered a real cannon shot after four minutes.
The Bergen native, who swapped Brann for Bodø/Glimt this winter on a transfer worth 1.3 million euros, sent the home team on their way to a convincing 3-0 victory in the top match at Aspmyra. But even though he had promised before the game to refrain from celebrating against his old employer, he couldn’t keep his emotions in check.
After knocking in the 1-0 goal behind Mathias Dyngeland, the winger ran triumphantly towards the sideline and marked with his signature coup – a perfectly executed somersault.
“Emotions got the better of me. It was good to get it out,” Blomberg admitted to TV 2 during the break.
The reactions from Brann fans on social media came like lightning.

VAR drama and Glimt’s effectiveness
Brann created great chances through Felix Horn Myhre and Bård Finne, but lacked the final sharpness. The Bergens dominated possession, but it was Glimt who were deadly on counter-attacks.
Kasper Høgh and the VAR staff were the main players for the rest of the half. First, the Dane had a goal narrowly annulled, before the video referees minutes later overturned an offside decision and approved the 2-0 goal.
“It’s nice to win games,” said a satisfied Blomberg after the game. “I have been with these Brann players for several years. Nice to meet them, but now I have a new employer.”
Milestone for Saltnes
Ulrik Saltnes wrote himself into Glimt’s history books with his 100th goal for the club.
“It felt like goal number 99 at the moment, but now that it has sunk in, it’s a milestone I’m proud of,” the captain told TV 2.
Glimt showed no signs of fatigue after a hectic spring season. “The players were bubbling with energy and were ready to run their socks off,” Blomberg remarked before the game.
The win lifts Glimt to fourth place with 19 points, while Brann is second with 23 points, but has played three games more.
The goal came after perfect play out of Brann’s high pressure, where Høgh, Evjen and Blomberg combined lightning fast. After the break, Saltnes completed another masterful counter-attacking goal with their heads, and put the crown on the work for the yellow team.
