English left winger Marcus Rashford still has an unclear future, despite occasionally impressing during his loan spell at Aston Villa.
Barcelona have entered into personal terms with Athletic Club’s big star Nico Williams. – And as The Athletic writes, Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement with Williams, and that they do not see the €60 million buyout clause as an obstacle to a transfer this summer.

Despite interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, Williams is said to have made Hansi Flick’s team his first priority.
Williams, who is right-footed but usually plays on the left, will face competition for a starting spot at Barcelona, as Ballon d’Or candidate Raphinha established himself in that position when the club secured a treble last season.
So what does this mean for Rashford?
It has been widely reported that Rashford’s preferred choice would be a switch to Barcelona. In May, the club’s sporting director Deco openly expressed his admiration for Rashford.
“We like Luis Díaz, we like Marcus Rashford, and we like other players,” Deco told Catalan radio station RAC1.
“When we go to market, there are names that we know and that can improve the team.”
And although Williams and Rashford apparently play in the same position, Mundo Deportivo claims that the United star is still interested in a possible move to Barcelona and “believes that his arrival is compatible with Nico Williams, as he can play in all three attacking positions and could be a good alternative to Lewandowski.”
MD also claims that Manchester United’s sale price for Rashford will be around €30 million, but a loan could also be suitable for all parties involved.
And it is precisely a loan deal that Barcelona will offer Rashford a move to the Nou Camp as a loan with an option to buy.
Should Rashford impress during this loan, it will be Barcelona’s intention to make the transfer permanent later on, and finances are the only thing preventing them from doing so at the moment.
On the other hand, The Mirror claims that Newcastle United could give Rashford a platform to revive his Premier League career if Alexander Isak were to leave the club this summer.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Luis Díaz, but earlier in June, BBC Sport reported that the English club have made it clear that the Colombian is not for sale.
