Luka Modric wanted to take one last, or a few last seasons in a Real Madrid shirt, but with his biggest fan, Carlo Ancelotti, on his way out, it was a natural time for the royal club to “look ahead”. For Modric, this means a final farewell to the club at the Club World Cup, but the 39-year-old is anything but ready to retire. Now it is confirmed that Modric is presented as a player for the new club.
AC Milan has put behind them a horrible season with 8th place in Serie A, this from title in 2022, 4th place in 2023 and 2nd place in 2024. The new sporting director Igli Tare has been brought in to put together a squad that will travel the big club – and quickly. An important piece will be Modric.

Since the beginning of the month, the Croatian legend has been linked with the Milan club, now the sporting director confirms that it is happening.
“We are ready to bring in Luka Modric. We need new leaders,” says the Milan boss and continues. He can be a key player for us. When we started talking to him, he asked us about our ambitions. He just wants to win,” Tare told Italian Sky Sports.
Initially, it is a one-year contract.
