A former Manchester United player who was once labelled a “mood killer” by Ralf Rangnick has found a new club.
Rangnick took over United on a temporary basis between November 2021 and May 2022, replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Austrian coach’s tenure at Old Trafford was largely unsuccessful, but he publicly pointed to a number of problems with the club’s recruitment strategy. And according to Bild, he privately admitted that three Manchester United stars were allegedly “mood killers” in the dressing room.

It was claimed that the three players created a sour atmosphere, it was Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.
Martial began a new chapter away from United last year, when he signed for Greek giants AEK Athens on a free transfer.
He scored seven goals in his first 14 games, and despite injury problems in recent months, he has already achieved cult status in Greece.
Cavani left United in 2022 and had a stint at Valencia before signing for Boca Juniors. At 38, he is still playing and was with Boca during the Club World Cup 2025, although the Argentine team crashed out in the group stage on Tuesday night.
As for Pogba, the French midfielder has not played an official match since September 2023.
He was playing for Juventus when he was banned for four years after the banned substance dehydropiandrosterone (DHEA) was found in his system.
Pogba denied having “knowingly or intentionally taken any supplements that violate anti-doping rules”, and after an appeal, the ban was reduced to 18 months by the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport).
He was able to return to professional football in March, but has been without a club since then.

However, that seems to be changing soon, as BBC Sport reports that Pogba is about to sign a two-year contract with French giants Monaco.
Adi Hütter’s team finished third in Ligue 1 and will thus play in the Champions League next season.
According to reports, Pogba will undergo a medical test in the principality before the transfer is completed. Monaco have already signed a high-profile player, with Eric Dier a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
They are also in talks to loan Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, and according to Fabrizio Romano, there would be a purchase option for Monaco for a permanent transfer for the 22-year-old.
