There is no doubt that the Norwegian 21-year-old left-winger Oscar Bobb is a great talent, but unfortunately he was injured last season, at a time when he was on his way to playing his way into Pep Guardiola’s first eleven.
Manchester City, after finishing 3rd in the Premier League last season, will not be idle this summer. Oscar Bobb is one of 17 players hanging by a thread.
The train hasn’t left, but he has a lot to prove, which he is slowing down with Sky Sports during a break between matches in the Club World Cup in the United States.

Oscar Bobb is determined to prove that he has a future at Manchester City.
The promising Norwegian winger looked set to play a significant role in City’s 2024/25 season after impressing both at the end of last season and during the club’s summer campaign.
But his hopes of a breakthrough in the first team were dashed when he broke his leg during training in August last year. After an aborted comeback in February, he did not play again until April.
Now, after getting back to full form, the 21-year-old has made two appearances during the US tour and is determined to establish himself in manager Pep Guardiola’s new team.
Guardiola, who has already brought in four new players this summer, has indicated that some players are likely to leave the club before the new Premier League season. But Bobb has no plans to be one of them.
Bobb said:
– I expect to stay here. That’s how I have to deal with it, and I will try to impress every time I get the chance.
“I want to play as much as possible, be decisive and participate in the big games.
“This is a new start for both me and the team, and I think we can build from here.
“I feel ready now, but we have 27 players in the squad. If I get a chance to play – no matter how long – I will seize it.
