Positive impression from the loan stay
After his loan spell at Barcelona, Cancelo left a positive impression. Under Xavi Hernández, he played 42 games, scored four goals and made his mark both offensively and defensively. However, he was not brought in permanently, and instead ended up with Al Hilal from Manchester City. Now, the player’s desire to return to Europe, combined with Barcelona’s need to strengthen the right-back position, has resumed talks.
Negotiations in progress
According to Esports3, negotiations are underway, and the Saudi Arabian club will be willing to accept an offer of around €15 million for his transfer. With Barcelona’s current financial constraints, this seems achievable – but only if they manage to finish some outings first.
