A legend in French football puts on the Dogues jersey today! LOSC and its president, Olivier Létang, are very honoured to formalise the arrival of Olivier Giroud at the club. The French international striker (137 caps, 57 goals), the all-time top scorer in the French national team, has signed a one-season contract with LOSC from Los Angeles FC (USA).
LOSC Lille have officially confirmed the signing of Olivier Giroud on the club’s website. The 38-year-old attacker returns to Europe and France after one year at Los Angeles FC.

Giroud joins the northern French club on a one-year deal as a free agent, marking his return to Ligue 1 after a full 13 years abroad.
Giroud’s impressive career
- Montpellier (2008–2012):
Was Ligue 1’s top scorer in the 2011/12 season and helped the club win its first-ever league title. - Arsenal (2012–2018):
Scored 105 goals in 253 games and won three FA Cup titles. Became known for his spectacular “scorpion kick” goals. - Chelsea (2018–2021):
Won the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League. Provided crucial assists in both European Cup finals. - AC Milan (2021–2023):
Helped Milan win Serie A in 2021/22. Became a key player with his experience and goalscoring flair. - France national team (2011–2022):
France’s all-time top scorer with 57 goals in 137 games.
Won the World Cup in 2018 and was part of the squad that took silver in 2022.
At Los Angeles FC, Giroud made 38 appearances and scored five goals, including participation in the ongoing Club World Cup.
Return to France
