Earlier this spring, we called for a return of David de Gea to Old Trafford. We were not heard. The Manchester United legend with 190 clean sheets for the Red Devils continues at Fiorentina, who with the help of their veteran goalkeeper took the Conference League ticket in Serie A. Now it is reported from Italy that De Gea will use his contact with another United veteran, who walked out on a free transfer after 284 games.
Along with David de Gea, Victor Lindelöf were the United players who saw one after the other coach come and go since Jose Mourinho – without even losing his job. According to FootItalia, Fiorentina are now considering signing free agent Lindelöf to strengthen their central defence ahead of De Gea.

The Italian inker claims De Gea is acting as an intermediary to persuade his friend to move to Serie A and Fiorentina. This is not a new track for the 30-year-old, Italian Sky Sports reported a year ago that Fiorentina are working to sign the Swede. Then the United player picked up an injury that halted the transfer.
If Lindelöf chooses Fiorentina, a sharp drop in wages awaits. David de Gea accepted the same when he signed with the Serie A club last summer, after one season his salary was doubled. This smells of reunion between De Gea and the Swede.
