Man United transfer news: Jadon Sancho saga takes a new turn as Juventus ‘prioritise’ 22-year-old option
Manchester United have reportedly suffered a setback in their attempt to sell Jadon Sancho this summer.

The 25-year-old winger spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea, scoring five goals and recording ten assists in 41 appearances, as well as winning the Conference League.
But Sancho has now returned to United after Chelsea opted to pay a £5 million fine to avoid their £25 million commitment to buy him permanently.
Uncertain future at Old Trafford
Sancho now faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford, where he has never lived up to expectations since his £73 million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
The winger has one year left on his contract with United and is said to be one of five players who have expressed a desire to leave the club this summer.
Napoli ‘agree’ to Lang deal while Juve ‘prioritise’ Conceicao over Sancho
A move to Italy has been discussed for Sancho, with reports last year claiming that Serie A champions Napoli were considering a deal for the Englishman.
However, Sancho’s weekly wage of £250,000 is understood to be an obstacle, and Antonio Conte’s side have now agreed a deal worth €28 million for PSV Eindhoven winger Noa Lang.
Juventus see Sancho as ‘alternative’Italian
giants Juventus have reportedly held positive talks over a summer deal for Sancho as they seek to bolster their attacking line-up ahead of the new season.
Still, Sancho is not Juventus’ first priority. Sky Sports Italia claim that they are instead focusing on signing Francisco Conceição, who spent last season on loan in Turin from Porto.
The report adds that Sancho is considered an “option” by Juventus, who are currently negotiating with Porto over a permanent deal for the 22-year-old Conceição.
It is claimed that Conceição has a buyout clause in the Porto contract that will be reduced from €45 million (£38.75 million) to €30 million (£25.8 million) on July 16.
Sancho in limbo while United future is undecided
Sancho has no future at United under head coach Rúben Amorim, but it is unclear whether a loan or permanent transfer is most likely at this point.
It is believed that Sancho wants to continue playing at the highest possible level and prefers a club that participates in European club football.
The possibility of Sancho continuing his career in England cannot be completely ruled out, but no Premier League club has shown strong interest in the winger.
Sancho had his best years at Dortmund, with 53 goals and 67 assists in 158 games over two spells, but the German club reportedly turned down the possibility of bringing him back this summer.
