This week, it was reported from Turkey that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Besiktas had made contact with Christian Eriksen. After 107 games for Manchester United, the Danish international is a free agent – and relevant for several clubs. Besiktas are now working to persuade the playmaker to lead the Besiktas attack with newcomer Tammy Abraham up top.

According to Turkish news site SporX, Besiktas have now offered the midfielder a two-year contract. Eriksen’s agent has also reportedly received an invitation from the club and is expected to visit them in the near future. The Danish veteran has previously been linked with other Turkish big clubs such as Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, in addition to his former club Ajax and Spanish Mallorca.

– Positive report from Solskjaer. The player’s (Eriksen’s) versatility is highlighted as a great advantage, writes the Turkish media.

Viaplay expert Lars Tjærnås gives the thumbs up for an Eriksen signing.

– Eriksen I think is still a wise reinforcement. Smart football brain, eminent at controlling the rhythm of matches, and making wise choices with the ball. Must be combined with the running power of those around him, says Tjernås at Dagbladet.
