The Club World Cup has ended. Chelsea won convincingly over PSG in the final, after the game the Premier League club was supposed to get the stage to lift and celebrate the trophy. It didn’t go quite as planned.
Donald Trump had the task of handing out medals to both teams and giving Chelsea the trophy to captain Reece James, along with FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

An easy task. Then something strange happened. In the footage from the ceremony, Gianni Infantino can be seen gesturing to Trump to step aside, but without success. Trump remains on stage, and in the footage, several of the Chelsea players can be seen looking confused.
In the end, Gianni Infantino must re-enter the stage and pull Trump away from the spotlight.
“I knew he would be there, but I didn’t know he would be on stage when we lifted the trophy, so I was a little confused,” Chelsea player Cole Palmer told the news agency AP.
Welcome to the confused-by-Trump club.
