Earlier this week, several enthusiastic Turkish newspapers reported Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Besiktas had maneuvered their way to signing the Premier League player. The Besiktas supporters shared the enthusiasm, but it didn’t take many days for the enthusiasm to subside. On Sunday, the 28-year-old signed with a Premier League club.
Earlier this summer, Solskjaer signed David Jurasek from Benfica, former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham from Roma and Orkun Kökçü from Benfica. On Monday, several Turkish newspapers reported that full-back Kyle Walker-Peters will fly to Istanbul during the day. The 28-year-old has worn the Southampton shirt for the past five years, last Premier League season the right-back was a given in the starting eleven. This month it was time for the contract to expire, a situation Besiktas were supposed to exploit, the three-year contract of the player with two caps for England is said to have been pushed over the table.

Walker-Peters must have politely declined, because on Sunday, West Ham and Graham Potter will present the 28-year-old as a new Hammers player. Here, too, there will be a three-year contract.
“I’m very excited. It feels like it’s been a long time coming. I’ve been linked to the club before, and I’m just happy to be here now,” the player told the club’s website.
