Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo Goes seems to be on his way out this summer, after his role at Real Madrid was significantly reduced during the Club World Cup, and he didn’t get any game time at all in the league final. It seems that Liverpool are in the best position to sign the Brazilian international.
Rodrygo was heavily linked with Arsenal earlier in the transfer window, but after they completed a deal for winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and there have been reports that they have struck a deal for Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, their need for attacking players has diminished significantly. Recent reports from the Spanish capital report that Arsenal will not be his next destination.

Liverpool have opened talks with Rodrygo Goes
As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are monitoring his situation closely, in case Luis Díaz leaves the club. Liverpool are reportedly asking for €80 million for the Colombian, and Bayern Munich are ready to make an offer in that price range.
Although Real Madrid are open to a sale, as Rodrygo is aware, the cost of the deal could complicate matters for Liverpool. He already earns €10 million a year, which represents a high salary within Liverpool’s salary structure. Almost at the same time, Santi Aouna has reported that direct talks have taken place between Liverpool and Rodrygo’s representatives – Rodrygo is represented by his father, Eric.
Xabi Alonso has informed Rodrygo of his role at Real Madrid
Reports earlier in the day revealed that new Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has told Rodrygo that it will be difficult for him to get game time next season, pushing him closer to the exit door. The relationship between Rodrygo and the club has deteriorated in recent months, after his father Eric made it clear that he was not happy with his son’s role in the team last season.
