Pogba has been away from the football pitch since being banned for four years, a sentence that was reduced to 18 months in October following an appeal. He tested positive for a banned substance after Juventus’ opening match of the 2023/24 season against Udinese.
Pogba has now served his doping sentence and has been able to resume his career in March.
He has been linked with a number of big clubs, including one that could offer Champions League football.
On Instagram, he uploaded several photos of himself in training before his comeback, along with the message: “I think it’s about time.”
The fact that Pogba was wearing a Real Madrid shirt did not go unnoticed either, as the choice of shirt caused social media to boil.
One user claimed: “If Madrid buys him, Mbappé will score 60 goals in a season.”
A Real fan added, “You know what??? I do.”
A third commented: “We need a player with his profile.”
Another referred to the club’s president Florentino Pérez and said: “Pérez, do something.”
Pogba is available on a free transfer after he agreed with Juve in November last year to terminate his contract.
It was his second spell in Turin, after joining from Manchester United in the summer of 2022.
But he only played 12 games for Juve after returning to the club.
The Frenchman, who came through Manchester United’s renowned youth academy, made a name for himself in Italy when he impressed for Juve. His performances piqued Manchester United’s interest, and they brought the midfielder back for £89 million in the summer of 2016.
