Joe Gomez has been linked with exit Liverpool for the past year. Then Gomez showed himself with an outstanding game against Marseille in the Champions League this week, where Gomez put the central defence close together with Van Dijk to a 0-3 victory. The Serie A club wants more of this.
According to journalist Daniele Longo, the Rossoneri hope that Liverpool provide an opening at the end of the transfer window for the 28-year-old. Gomez is a type of player coach Massimiliano Allegri loves, and Milan’s interest is far from new. The club had already tried to bring him to the San Siro during the summer transfer window.

The question is whether Liverpool “dare” to let Gomez go. Wednesday’s Marseille game showed the 28-year-old gives Slot a needed width in central defence.
