Bayern Munich have a long tradition of buying their Bundesliga rival’s biggest stars. They lost the battle for Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, but have now set their sights on Stuttgart’s German international, Nick Woltemade. An agreement between Bayern and the 23-year-old should be in place, but here it says stop.

With Sebastian Hoeness as coach, Stuttgart have shown they can excel in the title races, the Bayern Munich management has decided to drain the club of the striker who was behind 12 Bundesliga goals in 28 games.

Bulinews reports a personal terms agreement is in place, but the bid of 55 million euros for Woltemade has been quickly rejected by Stuttgart.

Stuttgart chairman Alexander Wehrle is running out of patience in connection with Bayern’s pursuit of their player.

“Six and a half weeks have now passed (since Bayern’s advance),” Wehrle begins to Stuttgarter Nachrichten.

“If you really want to buy the player, you have to be able to find a solution in time. We play the Super Cup on Saturday. Everything has to be arranged before kick-off at the latest,” grumbles Stuttgart’s chairman.

Stuttgart and Bayern meet in the German Super Cup on Saturday, and all indications are that Nick Woltemade will still be playing in the white shirt at that time.
