In 2026, it’s all about Antoine Semenyo. The winger has deliveries in the Premier League that make two of the biggest clubs refuse to line up – they have to go to the signing table. So far, the battle has been between Liverpool and Manchester United, with other PL clubs on wheels, now it is reported that Tottenham are gearing up for the next transfer window.
Liverpool are reported to be ready with bids of £60+5 million, which represents the buyout clause in January, Manchester United have been reported by various English media to do the same. Then you have Manchester City, who see the player with 6 goals and 3 assists in 12 Premier League games as suitable for Guardiola’s attacking line.

According to Sky Sports , it is now Tottenham’s turn to gear up. In the summer, Spurs tried to secure two big players, but only succeeded in persuading Mohammed Kudus to move to North London, Savinho stayed at City. The English media reports that Semenyo is now being targeted.
The question is whether Tottenham are in a position to sign Semenyo.
So far, the London club have had a challenging season under manager Thomas Frank, and while they are more willing to pay what it takes to sign Semenyo, it is unclear whether they will be able to qualify for Europe. Prior to the midweek games, Spurs had won just one home game all season and are in the bottom half of the Premier League table. A turnaround is of course possible, but reports suggest that Frank is under a lot of pressure, and could well lose his job before the January window opens. It is unclear if that will affect Spurs’ pursuit of Semenyo. They were interested in signing him in the summer, but in the end, they refused to pay the £70 million demand.
