Alexander Isak feels that Newcastle have broken promises to him.
Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been supported by his national team coach, who has told fans that they “don’t know the whole picture” of why he wants to leave the club.

Isak has spent much of the summer trying to leave Newcastle. The club was initially adamant that he would not leave, unless they received a staggering offer, before the Swede decided to tell the Magpies that he wanted to leave the club.
The fact that Liverpool have been interested in him and even made a bid of £110m has shown Isak that there are bigger opportunities out there for him.
Until now, Newcastle have held firm, rejected the Reds’ bid and taken Isak out of the team to show that no player is bigger than the club.
But even though his actions have been condemned by some, his Swedish national team manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has supported the striker.
He told the football channel: “First of all, Alex is an extremely professional player. An amazing character and personality. I have talked a lot with Alex during this period.
Such situations are quite complex. These are extremely complex environments in which players operate. I’m sure it will work out in the end, but you have to know the whole picture before you draw conclusions. That’s always a good tip.
I don’t think we know it. I don’t know the whole picture either. It’s quite normal because there is a lot of politics in a football club. But one thing is for sure: Alex is a great guy and very professional. We should all be very careful about jumping to conclusions because we don’t know the whole picture.”
Isak condemns Newcastle’s ‘broken promises’It
has been stated that Isak told Newcastle twice that he wanted to leave the club, and did so just before the end of last season to give his club time to prepare.

The Swedish striker has hinted at the same in a post on Instagram.
He said: “Promises were made, and the club has known my position for a long time…”
“When promises are broken and trust is gone, the relationship cannot continue.”
TEAMtalk can confirm that Newcastle are making attempts to sign Wolves striker Jørgen Strand Larsen, and the door is not closed even though he has just been signed permanently by the club.
This comes against a backdrop of difficulties in securing a transfer for Yoane Wissa, as Brentford will demand £60 million and want to have a replacement in place before selling.
Meanwhile, if Aston Villa are to get Nicolas Jackson, the Magpies could try to hijack Ollie Watkins.
Newcastle also want to sign the Chelsea striker, and could retaliate if they lose to Villa.
