Alfa Romeo hopes to end the season on a level close to or better than P6. Therefore, the team is announcing specific improvements to the car for the rest of this season.
Alpha Romeo had a poor start before making progress ahead of the mid-season break. The team is determined to make further progress by announcing two major updates to the car that will be implemented once the season resumes.
Team manager Alessandro Alunni Bravi stated that they needed to improve the quality of the cars. He emphasized that the team has decided not to use a phased approach and will make significant developments in the C43. The Alpha Romeo C43 is a stable competitor but lacks aerodynamic stability compared to other Formula 1 teams for 2023.
Alpha Romeo currently sits ninth (9th) in the 2023 F1 Constructors’ Championship with nine points. Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas are respectively sixteenth and fifteenth in the championship standings, with the Chinees driver four points and Finn five points.
