American tennis player Jenson Brooksby has been suspended for missing three doping tests. Brooksby plans to seek arbitration with the ITIA, which oversees doping cases in tennis.

American tennis player Jenson Brooksby accepted on July 5 this year. provisional suspension from the International Tennis Integrity Agency after he was accused of missing three doping tests in a 12-month period. This is reported by The Associated Press. Under the anti-doping rules, athletes can be sanctioned without a positive test result if they have missed a test three times in a year because their whereabouts were unknown.

-Taking the temporary suspension is the best decision we have to make right now. I’ve never failed a drug test. I’ve never taken any bad substances.- Brooksby said in a telephone interview.

-There are no allegations that he took any banned substances and we are confident of the outcome of the case.- said Howard Jacobs, a lawyer working with Brooksby. Jacobs also represents Simona Halep, a two-time grand slam winner who recently had a hearing on allegations made against her by the ITIA after failing a doping test at last year’s US Open.

Brooksby currently ranks 101st after being out of competition for almost six months as he needed two surgeries after spraining his wrist tendons: his left hand in March and his right hand in May
