Manchester United were back on track in the Premier League after wins against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton, then draws against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham. Now it was Everton and David Moyes’ turn. United supporters filled Old Trafford, brimming with optimism. Thirteen minutes into the game, the referee pulled up the red card for Everton’s Idrissa Gueye and the United supporters were looking forward to the continuation.

The rest of the game was a real suffering for the supporters. Everton’s ten players scored 0-1 sixteen minutes later. 77 minutes with 1 more player on the pitch was not enough for Manchester United to take three points. In fact, Amorim and the gang managed to lose.

A big day for Everton and David Moyes, who with 10 players managed what Arne Slot and Liverpool failed with 11 players at Anfield, an inexplicable loss for Ruben Amorim

“I feel very frustrated, like everyone else who supports Manchester United. We should be frustrated with the way we started the game and the way we didn’t understand how to play with ten men. They deserved to win. We had many chances in the second half with crosses and other balls, but the quality and decision-making ability were not there. Everton was the better team,” Amorim said after the game.
