For the past six or seven years, Andy Robertson has come to Scotland’s national team gathering as the big star. With Liverpool, the left-back has had tremendous success. Scott McTominay has had to use the international games to show some of what he can do, at Manchester United there have been limited opportunities. Now Robertson hails his compatriot as the new “king”, fully deserved.
In his debut season at Napoli, McTominay has been absolutely outstanding. Strong contributor to Napoli being able to lift the Serie A trophy again, named Player of the Year in Italy. Andy Robertson now says what he thinks about United’s treatment of McTominay.

“I think he wanted to disprove Manchester United and the people in the Premier League. He’s gone down there and made it big,” Robertson begins to The Guardian.
“All credit to him, for his mentality and his determination to become the best version of himself. Now he is a king down there. At Man United, he lacked regular playing time. He was in and out of the team and things like that. He probably didn’t get the respect he deserves,” says Andy Robertson.
