The list of players who are blossoming again after leaving Old Trafford is getting very long. Brazilian Antony, who must be said to be Manchester United’s biggest flop in recent years, has once again delivered as it does for Real Betis on loan.
The match between Espanyol and Real Betis was heading for a draw.
Then Manchester United loanee Antony took over – and settled with an incredible dream goal.

Espanyol had the lead for a long time against Real Betis on Sunday night.
As the game drew to a close, it was still 1-0 to the Catalan team. But in the 85th minute, Real Betis’ equaliser came through Isco.
Then it was Manchester United’s on-loan player Antony (25) who stole the show.
The Brazilian received the ball far out on the left wing, in a position suitable for crosses. But instead, Antony chose to cut inwards and curled the ball into the far corner with his left foot.
Several Real Betis players held their hands over their faces in disbelief.
“Isco, the king of Betis, holds his hands over his face and probably thinks ‘I wish I could do that'”
The game ended 2-1 to Real Betis, who are in 6th place in La Liga. Espanyol are in 14th place.
This was Antony’s third goal in 14 games since joining the Spanish club on loan in January. The goal confirms that the Brazilian is gradually finding his way back to form after a difficult period in Manchester.
Next up for Real Betis will be an away game against Athletic Bilbao on May 11, while Espanyol will face Mallorca at home on the same day.
