Arteta and Oxlade-Chamberlain played together at Arsenal from 2011 and have been involved in many football teams together. On Monday, Sky Sports reported “Ox” was seen on the training ground at Arsenal, now Arteta confirms it with enthusiasm.

“It’s great! He’s a top grade, one of the best characters I’ve met in football. If we can help him, and if we can give him room to get up to speed and have the capacity to find a club, that’s a pleasure,” Arteta begins to the club’s website.

The boys, are Arsenal’s U21 team. A return to Arsenal’s senior squad is not in the cards for Oxlade-Chamberlain, but we love the “open door” help of a former player.
