In January a year ago, title contenders Arsenal went into the second half of the season without reinforcements in the winter transfer market despite an injury crisis. The Gunners finished second. It opened up for big signings this summer, this winter nothing should be left to chance. The London club have taken on the Premier League title, this time getting ready for the investments needed to finish as number 1.
Liverpool have lost momentum, City are wobbling, Chelsea so is Chelsea. Arsenal now have Bournemouth almost behind them in the table, this is the season Arsenal must take advantage of and hold on to.

Caughtoffside’s sources report the Gunners are still in a good financial position, with the club expected to have money to spend in January if there are specific players Arteta is keen to bring in right away.
However, as the favourite to win the Premier League title and aim for long-term success, there will be no rush to spend more money in the upcoming winter transfer window – if not necessary.
In other words: Martin Ødegaard will have a squad with enough breadth and quality to last all the way to the top of the podium, while at the same time not taking his eyes off back-to-back-to-back.
