Arsenal are back on the winning track with Martin Ødegaard as captain and playmaker. Although Liverpool show no hint of weakness, seven points ahead in the Premier League table, Mikel Arteta is still aiming for the long-awaited titles. A lot has been done in the Arsenal squad in the last two seasons, in January two players can be sent out of the club.

Fabio Vieira and Nuno Taveras are already gone, on loan at FC Porto and Lazio respectively, with a return at the end of the season. According to the Daily Mail, there are permanent transfers on the trail as early as January.

Vieira was brought to Arsenal in 2022 from Porto for £34 million, but has failed to convince enough in his 49 appearances with 3 goals and 9 assists. At the end of August, he went on loan to Porto to get playing time.

Nuno Tavares was sent on loan to Lazio with an obligation to buy if conditions are met on the pitch. The defender was signed from Benfica in 2021, but has been on three loan spells since. At Lazio, left-back Tavares is crowned the “assist king” by Portuguese Record with 8 assists in 10 games in a Lazio shirt.
