Viktor Gyökeres has been eyeing Arsenal signing in recent weeks, but has been thwarted by Sporting’s refusal to let the super striker go without making the most of the Premier League clubs in desperate search for a goal guarantee. The Swede has been given permission for an extended “holiday”, and over the weekend a lot of things are said to have fallen into place.
On Sunday, midfield star Martin Zubimendi was clapped in as a new Arsenal player. According to Swedish Aftonbladet, Gyökeres is well on his way to being able to do the same. The clubs are negotiating the final details, it is reported, where the total package is expected to end up at up to 80 million euros.

The Athletic also reports that Arsenal are in the final stages of negotiations with Sporting, where Gyökeres has agreed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
