He is considered one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe. On Friday, it was reported that Martin Zubimendi had agreed on a transfer to Arsenal, the next day the Spanish European champion was “undressed” by a Norwegian Viking.
According to transfer journalist Romano, the 26-year-old and Arsenal agreed on personal terms on Friday, now the Arsenal management is putting their finger on the button and pushing for a transfer to 60 million euros.

This will be one of the biggest signings in the Premier League this summer, a reinforcement that should give Arsenal a big boost. The Arsenal management probably got their tea in their throats when they saw Atletico Madrid and Alexander Sørloth give Zubimendi and Real Sociedad a peel they probably haven’t experienced before.
The very solid Zubimendi was as usual in the starting eleven, but when thirty minutes had passed, Alexander Sørloth had slipped through what was of Sociedad’s defense and scored four (!) goals.

Now Zubimendi should not get all the blame for Sørloth being able to write La Liga history with the fastest hat-trick ever, but from a Norwegian perspective still entertaining.
