Juventus have not exactly taken advantage of, or received credit for, their giant purchase of Brazilian defensive midfielder Arthur Melo from Barcelona in the summer of 2020. The old lady spent 80 million euros and after much internal turmoil has loaned Arthur Melo to first Liverpool and last season to Fiorentina.

Now, Arthur Melo is said to be ready for a transfer to Real Betis

The other day, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated that Valencia, Real Betis, Sevilla and Villarreal are showing interest in Arthur Melo. Now it seems to be moving fast.

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, negotiations are underway between Real Betis and Juventus, with the “old lady” reportedly wanting to loan the former Liverpool flop with an option to buy around €12 million.

Real Betis, on the other hand, will plan for a four-year contract for Arthur in the event of a purchase.

The midfielder has not been given any playing time at Juventus this season, despite being injury-free.

In addition to Juventus and Liverpool, Arthur also has a past at clubs such as Barcelona and Fiorentina.
