When Vincent Kompany was brought in directly from relegation with Burnley from the Premier League to the job of Bayern Munich manager, it came as a football shock. Bayern boss Uli Hoeness later admitted he did not think of the new Belgian coach as Tuchel’s replacement, but was convinced by the sporting director. Less than a year later, Kompany is rock solid as Bayern coach, in the summer a big change is announced at Bayern, a “new” squad will be built with Kompany as builder.

Kompany leads the Bundesliga with six points and is through to the Champions League quarter-finals. According to Bild, the list is ready with players on exit.

The German media claims at least six players are on their way out:

-Wingers Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, both with a final season marked by injuries and a lack of consistent, high performances

Joao Palhinha, who was brought in from Fulham last summer for €51 million, has failed to convince between injuries and has only played 4 full 90-minute games so far in the season

Raphael Guerreiro will also be released, along with Bryan Zaragoza (on loan at Osasuna) and Mathys Tel (on loan at Tottenham)

In addition to the six players, the futures of Leroy Sané and Eric Dier are uncertain with contracts expiring in the summer.
