In the past year, reports have come from the Spanish media about Julian Alvarez’s desire to change clubs – again. The Argentine world champion did not want to be overshadowed by Erling Haaland, and signed with Atletico Madrid in 2024. The La Liga club had to shell out up to 95 million euros for the Argentine. Both Arsenal and Barcelona have set their sights on the 26-year-old, but only the Premier League leader can fork out the €100+ million for the striker. Now there are reports of a change of mood in Madrid.
Because where Atletico Madrid have previously signalled they are open to the right bid for Alvarez, Marca claims that Atletico are now working on a completely different scenario.
