Norwegian striker Aune Heggebø was brought to the Championship last summer from Brann on a deal worth 5.5 million euros. It didn’t take long before he showed the same quality for West Bromwich that was what brought him to the ball island, the rest of the team on the other hand has a lot to go on.

Transfermarkt believes Heggebø is now worth 7 million euros.

Aune Heggebø was last on the ball as West Bromwich secured their first win of 2026. The Norwegian scored in the 3-0 triumph over Hull City in the Championship at home to The Hawthorns.

The 24-year-old appeared in the right place at the right time after 67 minutes. From close range, he put the ball into the goal after a low cross in the box.

The goal was the Bergen ninth of the season at level two in England. He joined the club from Brann in the summer of 2024 and has quickly established himself as an important piece.

Josh Maja put West Bromwich in the lead after 24 minutes, and Isaac Price punctuated the game with 3-0 in injury time. Hull also had to play with ten men for over 50 minutes after Charlie Hughes was given marching orders just before half-time.

Broke heavy streak

The victory was long-awaited. West Bromwich had not won in 14 straight league games – a streak that stretched back to December 29 last year.

The team is now just above the relegation line with 40 points, while Oxford below have one point less. For Heggebø and co., three points against Hull was a welcome vitamin injection at the bottom of the Championship.
