Barcelona have not been impressed and are already considering striker Marcus Rashford’s future.
Rashford was loaned from Manchester United to Barcelona at the end of July, and he is expected to spend the entire 2025-26 season with the Catalan side.

Barcelona also have an option to sign the 27-year-old permanently for a sum of around £30 million next summer, but according to El Nacional, the player’s future at Camp Nou is already uncertain.
The report claims that senior figures at Barcelona have been unimpressed with Rashford’s impact, as the Englishman has struggled to get going in the early stages of his time at the club.
Rashford has yet to score or register an assist in three La Liga games and is struggling as a starter against Levante, where he was substituted at half-time in the league game.
Barcelona assess Rashford’s future after disappointing start to life at Camp Nou
It is believed that Barcelona are starting to lose patience when it comes to Rashford, and the Catalan side are reportedly considering sending him back to Manchester United in the coming weeks.
The reigning champions of La Liga will have to pay Manchester United £4,3 million to break the loan deal, which is also what the club will have to pay out if they decide not to sign him permanently next summer.
Rashford has no future at Manchester United under Red Devils coach Ruben Amorim, as the pair had a strained relationship in the first half of the 2024-25 season.
The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, but Unai Emery’s side decided not to make a permanent transfer after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Can Rashford play his way into Barcelona’s starting eleven?
Provided they are healthy, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are certainly safe in the attacking part of the pitch for Barcelona, so it’s hard to see where Rashford fits in when it comes to the winger positions.
Robert Lewandowski has had his health problems early in the season, but Ferran Torres is the backup striker, and the Spaniard is also ahead of Rashford in the queue through the middle.
As a result, it is difficult to see how Rashford will play his way into the starting eleven unless serious injury issues arise, but he could still be a valuable team member as the amount of games increases in the coming months.
