Barcelona are considering options to bolster their attack this summer. Liverpool’s Luis Díaz remains their priority target, but the Colombian would be a very ambitious choice.
Luis Dias is according to Transfermarkt worth 85 million euros, we doubt that Liverpool are unlikely to let him leave without a significant transfer fee. Therefore, work is now actively being done on an alternative.

While much of the news surrounding Barcelona in recent days has focused on the goalkeeper position, the Blue and Reds are still looking for attackers this summer. If Díaz proves impossible to get, Marcus Rashford has been mentioned as a potentially cheaper option, but Barcelona will consider a loan deal with an option to buy, while Manchester United will aim for a permanent transfer.
Igor Paixão emerges as an option
According to Sempre Barca, Feyenoord striker Igor Paixão is one of the names that has caught Barcelona coach Hansi Flick’s interest. The 24-year-old’s versatility speaks in his favour, and Flick appreciates that he can play well in multiple positions in attack, although he is most comfortable on the left wing.
As is the case for most of the players Barcelona are interested in, there are already a number of clubs following his situation this summer. Arsenal, Liverpool, Atalanta, Napoli, AS Roma and Aston Villa are all monitoring developments. His expected transfer fee is between 35 and 40 million euros.
Paixão admires Barcelona captain Raphinha
Previously, Paixão has expressed admiration for Barcelona captain Raphinha and described him as “a role model for me and all Brazilians”. Paixão joined Feyenoord from Curitiba three years ago for €4.5 million and has adapted to life in the Netherlands. This season, he has scored 18 goals and provided 19 assists in 47 games.
He was instrumental in Feyenoord’s path past AC Milan and on to the Champions League last eight, where they faced and lost to Inter Milan. This has by far been his most productive season at Feyenoord, having accounted for 21 goals and 10 assists in the previous 82 games.
