La Liga bottom side Real Valladolid have former Barcelona talent Adam Aznou on loan from Bayern Munich.

Barcelona have long considered strengthening their full-back positions in the transfer market. Although Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde have impressed, this is still an area the club is keeping an eye on.

The main focus this summer seems to be right-back, depending on what is possible within the club’s salary cap. On the left, they have just extended with Gerard Martín.

According to Christian Falk, Barcelona have also put the spotlight on Bayern Munich’s 18-year-old left-back Adam Aznou. The young player is actually a former La Masia pupil – he went to Bayern in 2021 at the age of 16 – and Barcelona now want to bring him back. It is also emphasized that Aznou is a friend of Lamine Yamal, which could make a transfer more likely.

However, Bayern have no plans to sell Aznou, who they see as a potential alternative to Alphonso Davies next season. Davies himself has been linked with Barcelona lately.

Aznou is currently playing on loan at Real Valladolid in La Liga, where he has made seven appearances (with three of those starting). He has been used both as a left-back and a midfielder.

Although Aznou is interesting, it seems that Barcelona will primarily focus on right-back this summer. Martín has proven to be a good alternative to Balde, while Héctor Fort has gained limited confidence under Hansi Flick.

Another player who could get a bigger role is Jofre Torrents (18), who has impressed for Barça Atlètic. Many believe he could be ready for the first team soon.
