Despite sporting director Max Eberl’s attempts to convince the Athletic Club player – including a last-minute visit to resume negotiations – it is clear that Williams is on his way to Camp Nou. As a result, the German giants have put two new names high on their list of potential signings: Rafael Leão and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
Leão and Bynoe-Gittens as possible solutions
Rafael Leão, AC Milan’s star player, has reappeared on Bayern’s radar. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Borussia Dortmund’s young talent, is also of interest to Bayern. But here Chelsea have already made a formal offer of around 65 million euros, which makes a transfer difficult. Dortmund will only let him go to Bayern if they match this sum – which has not yet happened.
Challenging transfer window for Bayern
Under the pressure to build a competitive attack, Bayern Munich face a more demanding transfer window than anticipated. Every potential purchase seems to be surrounded by obstacles, and the club must act strategically to secure the right reinforcements.
